Bridgestone Blizzak LM-18, a performance winter tyre for light trucks, is designed specially to meet the challenging winter driving needs along with good driving experience on dry roads. The only available tyre of its kind (235/65R17 108H size) will be a perfect fit for luxury performance SUVs namely, Cura MDX, BMW X5, Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, Volvo XC90 and Chrysler's the Pacifica. The unique directional tread pattern of Blizzak LM-18 helps in offering excellent aquaplaning resistance. The tyre also shows its best performance even on slushy roads. The rounded tread shoulder enhances the traction on dry as well as wet roads. Unlike other Blizzak winter tires which are made of Multicell tread compounds, Blizzak LM-18 is made of high silica compounds. For excellent wet traction, Bridgestone has employed Lamellen "edge effect" finding an alternate for traditional metal studs. For better results, the tyre has to be mounted as sets of four.
