Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 2 turns a new leaf in winter tyre technology, offering ultra grip in heavy snow, winter, wet and slush conditions. The tyre cruises through snow with exceptional handling, delivering superior vehicle control even under coldest weather conditions.
Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 2 comes with new Adaptive SipeGrip technology which features 2 different kinds of sipes in the tread. The 2D zigzag sipes in the centre creates decoupling effect offering extra grip under slippery conditions, while the 3D waffle sipes in shoulders and intermediate zone provide stiffness. This enhances dry and wet handling performance as well as dry braking of the tyre. The tyre has hydrodynamic V-grooves and intermediate circumferential grooves that provide optimum water dispersion and thereby, aquaplaning and slush resistance. Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 2 has an internal structure that is sturdy and conducive for winter driving. It comes equipped with optimized polymer blend and advanced silica technology which makes the tyre flexible at low temperatures and enables high contact with every kind of road – wet or dry. This facilitates the tyre to have exceptional road contact and increased grip on snow, ice and wet surfaces. Further, the tyre has four kinds of differently-sized blocks which ensure silent and comfortable ride with uniform wear.
Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 2 has been independently tested and certified by the German Testing and Certification company TUV SUD Automotive company. This is an added advantage as the tyre promises sophisticated winter driving under all conditions.
