The tires performed extraoedinarily well. In Montreal quebec canada we have a considerable amount of snow. Early spring we decided to buy the ha31 in order to take the toyo winters off and save them while still having good protection for the few snow flurries remaining. The toyos never went back on this winter. After about 6000 city kilometers through potholes and horrible road condition, no damage to the sidewalls and the tread looks like new. During winter, they outperformed the mid mileage goodyear ultragrip ice tires on my ford explorer work truck, but on the highway they are muxh much louder. Two complaints. Road noise and mileage. The factory continental model was much better fuel economy but was inferior in rain and slush and its hard compound didnt have the same quality of traction for short distance trips. These are perfect for city drivers who have experience on snow and ice and can accept the few limitations of a 4 season advanced technology tire. Buy this tire if you drive in the city and are required to have snow tires in the winter. You wont be disappointed.
