Mitas, a Czech Republic tyre manufacturing firm had its origin as MITAS Praha in the year 1933. Started as subsidiary of Michelin in Prague-StraÅ¡nice, after the war, the manufacturing plant was nationalized and got its new name MITAS in 1947. With skilled labours and technical facilities, during 1949-1952 the company established itself with a well equipped manufacturing plant. Also, it expanded its products right from bicycle tyres to heavy truck tyres. MITAS currently have three tyre manufacturing plants each in Prague, Zlín and Otrokovice. At present, the company with its wide spread products, has created an everlasting impression in the minds of the people and MITAS tyres serve in different areas like agriculture, construction, motoring (motorcycles and cars), heavy & light trucks and off-road machines

    HONDA XRV 750 Africa Twin
    Noisy as hell, but I found it perfect tire for Africa twin, living in ireland and have plenty of water here and tire didn't let me down yet. The best tire for gravel roads or mud. Have done 10000km+ on the rear one where most of this had been 2 up and fully loaded on trip in france. 100 confident to recommend the tire to long distance tourers. The best performance/price tire you can get.

    This will be my 6th set. Front wears out much quicker than the rear. I have no problems in the wet but I know some other people do. Does OK on dry tarmac but moves around and they go off when pushed really hard. Great mud shedding abilities.
